Join ZFW

Thank you for your interest in joining the Fort Worth Virtual ARTCC. In order to control at Fort Worth you need: a VATSIM CID, be a member of VATUSA, and have an account on this website.

If you want to be a visiting controller at ZFW, you must first belong to an ARTCC in VATUSA. Skip to step 4 and fill out the form. Be sure to check "Visiting Controller".

STEP 1: Join VATSIM and get your Controller Identification number (CID). Choose USA as your Division then join VATUSA.

STEP 2: If you are a new controller, pass the VATUSA Basic Controller Exam, select Fort Worth ARTCC as your home ARTCC. You will receive an e-mail when the Forth Worth Air Traffic Manager has approved your transfer.

If you want to transfer to ZFW login to the VATUSA website and click the ARTCC Transfer form under the MyVATUSA menu. If you are eligible to transfer, the form will display, if not, you will get an explanation of possible reasons why you may not be able to transfer.

STEP 3: If you do not receive an email from the Forth Worth Air Traffic Manager within 48 hours please contact the Forth Worth Air Traffic Manager or Deputy Air Traffic Manager.

STEP 4: Join the Fort Worth ARTCC website. Fill in the form below.
